Blue Ram 3.5cm

Cooranbong Aquatics

While known for their fierce and intimidating look as compared to other fishes, the Rams are also one of the more popular choices in pet fishes primarily due to their active and likeable personalities that they like to show off.

Rams tend to pair faithfully with a single mate and generally do not tend to display much aggressive behaviour despite their warning coloration and sharp shape of fins and tail. They like to swim alongside other species and warm to them quickly without causing damage.

One thing to be cared for when keeping Rams is to give them a large swimming space in at least a 20 gallon tank along with scattered but dense plantation and also an abundance of rocks and caves so as to allow them to hide and breed and not become aggressive towards each other over territory.

You must know, however, that these are not as hardy and require moderate level of care to be given to the kind of water they are kept in and the temperatures maintained which should be soft and between 78 to 85 Fahrenheit respectively.
