Cooranbong Aquatics

The Peacock Cichlids are a category of fish that consists of a vast variety of colors and patterned fishes, making for interesting selections.

When it comes to colour, there are little species better than the Peacock Cichlid when it comes to freshwater variety. Hailing from the Lake Malawi in Eastern Africa, the Peacock Cichlid have over 22 recognized species, each of which features different, bright colours and patterns, some of them including a bright lemon yellow with neat white stripes, a sizzling orange with scattered neon blue spots, and an iridescent blue gold Cichlid as well.

It would be a good idea to place several rocks in the tank for the Peacock Cichlids as they can become territorial toward male of their own species, but otherwise, these are generally very peaceful species that get along with most other fishes.

Beautiful to look at and very active, the Peacock Cichlids would add a flair of personality and a dash of color to any aquarium that they are placed in.
