The Emerald Dwarf Rasbora (Microrasbora erythromicron) is quite a favorite when it comes to easy-to-host fishes; it is of the family of Cyprinidae and is endemic to the Lake Inle located in Myanmar. The average lifespan of an Emeral Dwarf Rasbora is 3 – 5 years, during this period, it is guaranteed to dazzle and make your tank colorful. The Emerald Dwarf Rasbora has a pale copper head, a pinkish body and may have up to 10 emerald green bars along its side. Male Emerald Dwarf Rasboras have fins that are lightly reddish orange, while their females have fins that are clear and less colorful. This fish has been observed to be peaceful, timid and pretty active when kept together with other rasboras, danios, devarios and smaller barbs. That said, they are brightest when kept in shoals of at least 6-8 of their own species. In housing the Emerald Dwarf Rasbora, you would need to make a tank size of 10 gallons at least available, their peaceful demeanor shouldn’t present you with too many problems in terms of management.Ensure that the temperature of the medium is not less than 70°F and not more than 77° F. the water hardness should border between 10 and 25 °d, while the pH should be leveled at a range of 7.0 – 7.5.
