Ghost Knife 7.5cm
As the name suggests, the ghost knife is distinctively black all over with only two white rings on the tail and a white blaze on the nose as an exception. The black ghost has a nocturnal nature, which is equally suggestive of the name, can grow up to 60cm and can survive over five years.
Being really large the ghost knife requires a large tank size as well. At least 55 gallons is needed for small and medium-size fish. The tank should be set up with plant, tube, rock, and wood for hiding. This is because of a high tendency towards shyness. The black ghost is good with other fish and can stay with a tank mate that is as big as itself.
Blackworms, brine shrimp, bloodworms, either fresh or frozen, insect larvae and smaller fish are among the acceptable diet for this carnivore. Bigger ghost knifes are more capable of feeding on other fish than the small ones are.
