You may think of a very typical kind of fish whenever someone mentions ‘catfish’, but the variety found in this species is simply tremendous. Found in fresh waters, the Peppered Corydora Catfish has the typical little cat-like whiskers near its mouth and a relatively small size, but what adds interest is the beautiful, dotted, irregular pattern on its body that makes it seem as if the fish has literally been sprinkled with pepper!
They will be your peaceful companions, preferring to dwell mainly near the bottom of the aquarium and enjoying activity during the nighttime, adding great variety to your collection. It also helps that they are extremely loving and peaceful friends and get along famously with other kinds of fishes that are likely to be their tankmates.
These peace loving, low maintenance, and neat little fishes are sure to make great fishy residents for any aquarium.
