Red Tailed Shark 5cm
The Red Tail Shark (Epalzeorhynchus bicolor) possesses a black body and a red tail that look like that of a shark. Professionals advise that you keep only one Red Tail Shark in your tank as over time there will be a struggle for territorial dominion if more than one is kept together. Also, do not bother keeping Red Tail Sharks with other Red Tailed Shark or with a Rainbow Shark.
There is always territorial competition between the Sharks, and one dominant shark will emerge from the lot that will relentlessly trouble the other sharks from getting to food or getting some peace. It is because of the unrest that can arise from keeping the Red Tail Shark with others that experts recommend just one Red Tail Shark per tank.
Red Tail Sharks enjoy scavenging the tank for food and will eat virtually any fish feed including flakes and live foods.
